After the Cross
The Next Step in
CFOP Is F2L

Start Here — Read This First
Intuitive F2L, core concepts, notation, and learning order. Read before opening the cases page.
Easy Cases
Pair already formed, just insert. 4 cases. Master these intuitively before anything else.
Both in Top
Both pieces free in the U layer. 17 cases — the most common situation during a real solve.
Corner in Top
Corner free, edge already in a middle slot. Often the shortest algorithms — f2l-28 is only 3 moves.
Corner in Slot
Corner is placed but edge isn't. Learn to extract the corner, pair it, and reinsert.
Advanced
Both pieces in the wrong slots. Learn these last — they appear rarely during solves.
